The People Progressive Path Organization (PPPO), with financial support from Global Youth Mobilization and technical cooperation from the General Environmental Protection Authority (GEPA), invites youth in Afghanistan to participate in an environmental proposal competition and free online training program.
This initiative aims to strengthen youth knowledge, leadership, and practical engagement in addressing climate change and environmental degradation in Afghanistan.
Environmental Proposal Competition
Youth with creative and practical ideas for solving environmental challenges in their communities are encouraged to submit a short proposal of two to three pages on one of the following topics:
Sustainable management of community water resources
Prevention of deforestation and restoration of forests
Climate-change adaptation solutions
Sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture
Youth participation in environmental protection
Any other innovative idea related to climate change or environmental protection
Proposals will be assessed according to the following criteria:
Innovation and creativity: 30%
Feasibility: 25%
Potential community impact: 20%
Sustainability: 10%
Awards and Opportunities
The two best proposals will each receive financial support of AFN 10,000.00
Authors of the 30 highest-ranked proposals will be introduced to project management and leadership training.
Selected participants will have opportunities to consult environmental specialists, access learning resources, and connect with other young environmental advocates.
Free Online Training Courses
Participants can also join free one-day online courses covering:
Introduction to climate science
Environmental protection and natural-resource management
Climate-resilient livelihoods and sustainable agriculture
Successful participants will receive a certificate from the People Progressive Path Organization.
